Vintage Card

We are finally having Spring weather here in Missouri.  For awhile I thought we were going to go straight from winter to summer.  I am enjoying the spring showers along with all the blooms on my flowers and trees.
This is my DT project for Digi Choosday.  The challenge theme is always Anything Goes but the DT was given the challenge of Vintage.  I used the Little Miss Sugar Pops 1 download kit for my image and papers.  I decided to paper piece her hat and dress for a more vintage look to my project. And of course I had to add a bit of lace.

Braided Ribbon Card

The current challenge at Addicted to Stamps is "Ribbon Galore"
I decided to braid the ribbon and use as a border.  It's a pretty easy technique that adds a different twist (no pun intended) to your ribbon.
For this card I dug deep into my stash of rubber stamps and pulled out this oldie but goodie.  I have had this stamp for at least 18 years.  It is from Close To My Heart and is probably retired (I haven't checked).

Corner leaf: Storybook Cricut cartridge

Pirate Treat Box

I'm back today sharing one more project made with one of the new images from the Little Dudes Collection at Polkadoodles.  Today's project features Pirate Little Dude.  Isn't he cute?  I used the tags, bags, boxes and more Cricut cartridge to cut out the crayon treat box.  I made it much larger than a typical crayon box so I could add lots of treats or fun little toys.

Toad-ally Awesome

I like to make a scrapbook for each of my daycare kids as they get ready to go to kindergarten.  I fill the book with lots of memories of their time at daycare with their friends.  I have lost count how many albums I have created over the 17 years I have been open.  This will be the front page of his album.  This new image from the Little Dudes collection at Polkadoodles is just the perfect image for K's album.  We were just talking about my pond and all the frogs just a couple days before this image was released.  Perfect timing!

Get Well Card

I'm back and sharing another of the new Little Dude images from Polkadoodles.
Meet Broken Bones Little Dude.  Poor guy.  The whole time I was making this card I kept thinking, "What does the other guy look like?"  I stitched the heartbeat pattern onto cardstock.  I like to stitch on cards but since I do it by hand and not machine, I tend to save the stitching for special projects like this one.
The pattern papers come with the digi stamp so it's a great deal.  You get 3 pattern papers, sentiments and the image.

I used Skating Snowman for my card.  I kept it simple and free of bulky embellishments so that it will be easier to mail.  I haven't decided if I will send it out as a Christmas card or hold on to it and use it as a Thank You card after the holidays.

Congrats Graduate Card

It's time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday.  The theme is always anything goes but the dt is always given a theme to try.  This week the dt was challenged to use glitter or something shiny.  I added some sparkle/glitter by painted her shoes and diploma ribbon with extreme glitter paint after I colored with copics.  I also have lots of sparkle in the shaker.  I love the way this CAS card turned out.

Soccer Card

Years ago I used to coach soccer.  I always had a great time with the kids out on the ball field. Today's project brings back memories of all the practices, games and fun that we had.

This is football/soccer Little  Dude from the new Little Dudes release at Polkadoodles.
I couldn't resist making a soccer ball shaped card.  I couldn't resist adding a yellow and red card to my project.  In soccer, players are given these cards as a way to discipline players. Yellow cards are used for a caution and red cards mean the player is dismissed from the field.

The card shaped was created using the Life's A Party Cricut cartridge. I printed a second image and cut out the soccer ball and attached it with a pop dot for some added dimension.

Here is the inside of the card:

Ruby Boho Chic

I am back today with another of the new images from Polkadoodles.
This lovely is Ruby Boho Chic.
For this project I did not make a card.  This is the front page of a scrapbook I am making for one of my daycare kids who will be moving on to kindergarten.  I always like to make the front page without a picture so it is more like a introduction to the album.  Due to lack of time this year and the fact I have 2 albums to create for kids moving on to kindergarten, I decided to purchase a premade scrapbook album.  All I have to do is add the pictures.  These papers from Polkadoodles match perfectly with the colors in the premade album .

Ruby Sweet

I am very excited to share another project made using one of the new images from Polkadoodles.
Meet Ruby Sweet. She is available in both a black and white version for you to color and also a precolored version.

She is gorgeous and I know she will be one of my favorite images to use. Today I am sharing a birthday card but I can see her on so many different types of cards. After coloring her with copics, I painted her dress with extreme glitter paint.  I like to use the Halogram paint. It is clear and paints over the copics beautifully.  When dry, it just gives a nice sparkle. I added a clear gem to her hair for her hair pin.

My card is a gate fold card with a window.  It is super easy to make but I have to admit I did struggle a bit.  The reason why I struggled is I hate to measure.  I prefer to just "eyeball" it.  Anyway, in order to make this card with the layers work, you do need to measure a bit.
I used very few embellishments for this card because the digi and the papers are all so gorgeous that not much else is needed.  The papers are also from Polkadoodles and are part of the Winnie Sugar Sprinkles paper sets.

Here is the card opened up:

Christmas Card

After I colored up this cutie I decided to use my red spica pen on the ribbon and the candle for some extra sparkle.  It didn't work as well as the extreme glitter paint that I usually use over my copics.  I guess I won't be doing that again.
This is my dt card for The Merry Christmas challenge.  The theme is always anything Christmas goes.  Participating in each of the challenges is a great way to get your Christmas cards done in time for mailing.

Train Dominoes Card

I was stumped this year on what kind of card to make for my brother-in-law's birthday.  I was tired of making the fart joke cards so I came up with this idea.  We like to get together with several other couples for game nights.  My brother-in-law likes train dominoes so I decided to make his card featuring that game.
I printed out dominoes that I found online and then arranged them so that they added up to his age (53)

Here is the inside of the card.  My husband helped me with the sentiment.

This is my DT card from Crafty Hazelnut's Pattern Paper challenge. The theme is always anything goes as long as you use pattern paper.  I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge
